Who never dreamt of having his or her own virtual environment in which his wildest desires could become reality? And if it was possible to conceive such a system in real life? It’s exactly what virtual reality allows us to achieve. Our dream? To be dropped in the middle of a robot invasion in a Science-Fiction universe. Thus, we brought this fantasy to reality in the shape of a mobile VR game: Robellion, thanks to a Samsung Gear VR headset and to the Unity game engine. From the environment’s design, to the enemies’ behaviour scripts and passing by the user interface, we had to rethink our global perception of what a mobile game is in virtual reality.
